South or North? Which part of the NSW Coastline divide are you?

Uncrowded beaches is a pretty good reason to love the South Coast. (This is Mollymook Beach but do avoid in January school holidays!)

So, to go to the South Coast or North Coast this summer? That is the question and here is my answer. Go south, of course! Here’s why:

  • You can still get an affordable apartment with a view and go to sleep to the sound of the surf, not traffic
  • The Princes Highway is more manageable and less angsty than the M1 (the piece of asphalt formerly known as the F3)
  • It’s greener and feels cleaner
  • It’s simply more unspoilt, less commercial and more like the summer holidays of old

So, for my money, the South Coast wins. But wherever you go (or don’t go and here’s to Staycations!) have a safe, happy and fun summer break!

And as a Christmas bonus here is Santa in the gorgeous town of Milton, just north of Ulladulla, on the South Coast, of course!

Santa is alive and well on the South Coast
Santa is all over the South Coast
