Registrations for this year’s annual Mudgee Bike Muster are now open. This fun event is held every Easter and it’s never too early to register and book accommodation as Easter tends to go off in Mudgee town.
With mostly flat roads and vineyards galore, Mudgee has positioned itself as a bike hub and the annual Mudgee Bike Muster (now in its 8th year) is well worth the trip to this stately colonial town, especially if, like me, you are somewhat of a cycling dilettante.
So, families, grey nomads, bon-vivants and anyone who loves doing a spot of exercise in the countryside, this is your kind of event.
Easter is a good time to visit Mudgee when days are warm and mornings and nights are starting to get crisp. There’s a bush band, Wine Ride, kids Easter Egg treasure hunt and a 65km ride to historic Gulgong. And if all else fails, there’s always wine.
